In October and November of 2008, I traveled with 3 friends through Thailand for 27 days. We stayed in the small town, Chon Buri and over the course of time there, I only saw one other foreigner in the area. As we ventured out to larger towns and cities, we visited Bangkok on two occasions, road around in tuk tuks, saw many strange food items in markets and restaurants, meditated in numerous buddhist temples and walked many streets hearing the familiar calls from the girls working the massage parlours. (Hallo...Mister...you want massage? You handsome, Mister. Please come in.) The cost for a massage was advertised as inexpensive... it's the further activities that would become costly. I managed to keep my money in my pocket, though the temptations always lingered.
