For 5 weeks in November and December of 2006, I toured South America, starting in Peru, then to Ecuador which including the Galapagos Islands for 10 days. Some of the highlights included seeing Machu Picchu, the Amazon Rainforest and 'strange and beautiful' animals on the islands. My tour was through GAP Adventures based in Canada and the Peru itinerary and Galapagos itinerary provided a huge variety of things to see and do.
