In 1988 I traveled overseas for the first time. From Colorado, it took 22 hours to arrive in Sydney where I met my Contiki travel group which specializes in trips for 18 to 35 year olds. We journeyed north up the entire east coast in 14 days. On the return home, I spent four days in Hawaii, on the island of Ohau.
